Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert

The Opportunity:

As a cyber mission specialist, you will help develop new business with the client based on your experience and understanding of the cybersecurity Federal landscape. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations expertise to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for a seasoned cyber mission specialist like you to apply your experience with implementing cybersecurity solutions and impacting our nation’s security.

In this role, you’ll conduct proposal development for cybersecurity opportunities, including managing responses, writing content, and leading pricing. You will also lead teams of cybersecurity professionals in client delivery.

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis, and federal contractor expertise to adequately assess and inform our senior leaders on opportunities and solutions. Your role will be vital in implementing solutions for our most valued clients.

You Have:   

  • 7+ years of experience with a major federal contractor in conducting proposal development for cybersecurity opportunities, including managing responses, writing content, and leading pricing
  • 7+ years of experience with cybersecurity in conducting project management and leading all aspects of project delivery, including managing risks, coordinating with clients, providing deliverables, and reporting status to company senior leadership, including at a Federal agency
  • Experience with HHS or any of its Operating Divisions
  • Experience with leading cybersecurity efforts in a FISMA- or NIST-based environment
  • Knowledge of modern CMS Security practices, including Security automation practices, such as DevSecOps to shift security left to the development life cycle, concept of Security DataLake and continuous security monitoring, modern cloud-era Platform as a Service (PaaS), DoD’s Platform One and CMS’s batCAVE and it’s capabilities, threat assessment using threat modeling and threat profiling practices, and industry and Federal security and cloud infrastructure compliance programs, including FedRAMP, HIPPA, SOC 1, 2, and 3
  • Ability to pull in a broad array of firm-wide cybersecurity capabilities into a client briefing to help shape and influence thinking around client challenges and drive branding with prospective buyers
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and teams to formalize strategies, investments, landscape analyses, and capture in alignment with Health account goals and strategies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
