DataOps Platform Engineer, Senior

As a data engineer, you have the chance to develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make this data meaningful. We’re looking for someone like you to ensure our clients meet their mission by keeping the warfighter safe, supporting national security, protecting civilians, and changing the face of healthcare. 

This is an opportunity to support data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Driving innovation within the federal government, you’ll have the chance to architect data systems, stand up data platforms, build out ETL pipelines, write custom code, interface with data stores, perform data ingestion, and analyze data models. From performing analytical exploration and examination of data to leading the assessment, design, and maintenance of scalable platforms, you’ll guide your clients to solve their most pressing challenges. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a data engineering, software development, data science, or machine learning engineer role
  • Experience leading technical teams and projects
  • Experience building machine learning operations platforms
  • Experience with data streaming, ingest, ETL, and data warehousing technologies 
  • Experience with big data tools, including Hadoop or Apache Spark
  • Experience with scripting languages, including BASH, Ruby, Scala, or Python
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with operating relational databases
  • 1+ years of experience with production in an AWS data engineering role
  • Knowledge of Cassandra, DynamoDB, or NoSql data stores
  • Knowledge of AWS Lambda
  • Knowledge of Spark
  • Knowledge of Splunk or other log aggregation utilities
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting frameworks, including Prometheus

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $120,000 to $160,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
