Information Security Engineer

As a security engineer on our team, you will work with client to handle their vulnerability management and security engineering needs. You’ll use networking and system management expertise to bridge gap between Security and Network Teams and assist with projects that require effort across teams. You’ll leverage industry best practices to recommend improvements to client’s security posture, including validating security configuration baselines and hardening servers, workstations, and network devices. You’ll evaluate, test, and implement new security tools to increase the security of the client's computing environment. You’ll interact with the client's security analysts, engineers, and data source owners. You’ll contribute to contract and client-related weekly status reports.

You Have:

-Experience with coordinating the remediation of vulnerabilities on servers and network appliances

-Experience with performing information security engineering for civilian government agencies

-Experience with one or more of the following automated tools: Nessus, Tenable Security Center, Symantec Endpoint Protection, or SIEM devices, including Splunk, Tripwire, Cylance, ForeScout, FireEye, or Bigfix

-Experience with deploying MDM solutions to stakeholder communities

-Knowledge of ServiceNow and managing security-related tickets

-Knowledge of all facets of information security operations, including vulnerability assessment, risk management, host and network intrusion detection, anti-virus technologies, firewalls, SIEM, incident response, and forensic analysis

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with working in the civil health field a plus

-Experience with continuous monitoring or security control assessments a plus

-Experience with project management practices and methods

-Public Trust clearance

-Security+, CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or another Certification
