Laboratory Consultant, Mid

Key Role:

Coordinate complex components of large healthcare projects and a series of smaller projects and maintain responsibility for the application of advanced methods and techniques in a particular field of specialization. Collaborate with quantitative specialists to design and develop questionnaires, instruments, and databases. Conceptualize and plan policy analyses, task management within complex evaluation projects, and conduct site visits. Contribute to proposal efforts, including coordinating and reviewing the contribution of junior staff and troubleshoot problems and questions throughout the proposal process.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with basic laboratory techniques

-Experience with collecting and analyzing data

-Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel macros

-Knowledge of biosafety principles

-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing or teaching training courses

-Knowledge of Select Agents

-Ability to perform basic programming for data analysis

-Public Trust clearance

-MA or MS degree preferred; PhD degree in Biological Sciences a plus
