Life Science, Virology, and Infectious Disease Consultant

Key Role:

Leverage scientific knowledge to support biological or biochemical research agendas. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with research procedures and data analysis

  • Experience with infectious disease, immunology, and virology

  • Experience with cutting edge technologies in the omics field

  • Experience with NIH and university settings

  • Experience in working with multiple scientific stakeholders

  • Experience managing projects

  • Ability to work successfully in a team based or project environment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Master's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with research in infectious disease biology or analytic chemistry

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office and analytic tools preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Public Trust preferred

  • Doctorate degree in Life Science or a Biomedical field preferred
