ML and AI Engineer, Lead

The Opportunity: 

As an experienced AI and ML Ops engineer, you understand that machine learning is critical to processing and analyzing massive datasets. Your ability to build, deploy, and maintain AI and ML infrastructure makes you an integral part of delivering robust AI solutions to answer challenging problems and deliver customer-focused solutions. We need your technical expertise and domain knowledge to support the development of generative AI and natural language platforms. As an AI and ML Ops engineer in support of strategic innovations, you’ll be implementing cutting-edge ML and DevOps technologies to accelerate our clients’ understanding of their data.

In this role, you’ll own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll collaborate with a large community of data scientists, solution architects, software engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions. Your advanced consulting skills and hands-on technical experience will guide clients as they navigate the constantly evolving landscape of various AI and ML tools and frameworks. You will also be involved in shaping team direction and will work without considerable direction, including mentoring and supervising team members.

You Have:  

  • 8+ years of experience in a research or professional role with artificial intelligence, ML Ops, DevOps, or data engineering

  • 5+ years of experience leveraging AI and ML Ops platforms and AI and ML CI/CD workflows to manage datasets and model training, deployment, and monitoring, such as SageMaker or Kubeflow

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying containerized AI and ML applications or microservices using Docker and Kubernetes 

  • 3+ years of experience deploying AI and ML solutions built on frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Transformers 

  • 3+ years of experience communicating AI and ML concepts and strategy to non-technical audiences

  • 3+ years of experience using Python, including TensorFlow, or PyTorch for production-grade work

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree  

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience in a healthcare or public health domain

  • Experience with GPU-programming, including CUDA, RAPIDs, or similar  

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,600.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
