Scientific Consultant, Mid

Key Role:

Apply understanding of life sciences disciplines to advance research, discovery, training, and processes. Analyze scientific policy and generates summary reports. Apply specific functional and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Use Microsoft Excel to perform data analytics. Write summary documents, strategic plans, and scientific manuals. Work independently with some guidance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in a research laboratory.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, basic science research concepts, and the Microsoft suite of work products, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently to deconstruct scientific information to create summary documents and learn about new technologies
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree in a biological science or biological engineering field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analytics and manipulation of scientific data, presenting scientific data, and publication in peer reviewed journals
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality systems such as International Standards Organization (ISO) or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA)
  • Ability to help develop solutions to problems
  • MA or MS degree preferred; PhD a plus
