Systems Engineering IT Team Lead

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in national security? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications, makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.

As the lead of a 10 person IT project and support team, you will plan, coordinate, and execute projects to deploy IT capabilities to traditional and Cloud environments. You will provide guidance in standing up, networking, securing, and administering systems and shared services in Linux and Windows standalone and networked environments. You’ll advise other project teams in conducting research and development (R&D) in Cloud environments. You’ll supervise and mentor team members on IT projects, including the secure implementation of new IT capabilities and the resolution of user IT issues. You’ll migrate a production Web application to the high-side Cloud, securely deploy new low-side laptops, implement a low-side Cloud environment to provide various production and research services, and resolve a variety of issues with laptops, printers, and applications.
