Technology Research Strategist

Key Role:
Act as a senior advisor and technical scientific, engineering, and technical assistant (SETA) to an artificial intelligence (AI) program. Aim to build methods to detect if an AI has been infected with a Trojan, an adversary that can manipulate an Al's training data can make the AI learn virtually anything and creates operational consequences that may include feeding an autonomous vehicle AI training data that shows stop signs with sticky notes labeled as speed limit signs, putting a Trojan into the AI, and activating it in the field by putting a sticky note on the stop sign, which will cause the autonomous vehicle to incorrectly run it. Build code that automatically detects if an Al has been infected with a Trojan. Work closely with cross-functional teams to make recommendations on disruptive technologies that can improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, human capital and culture, IT, enterprise cost reduction, management practices, and cost drivers. Conduct product planning, R&D, strategy, venture, marketing, and design to improve innovation processes, evaluate, integrate, or propagate new technologies across existing technologies, create innovation guidelines and best practices, and develop strategies and roadmaps for how to integrate these innovations.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with creating deep neural networks for research or industrial applications

-1+ years of experience with machine learning techniques other than neural networks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with researching deep neural network techniques

-1+ years of experience with large-scale data engineering projects

-1+ years of experience with AI security research problems, including adversarial examples, data poisoning, or model inversion

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
