Communication Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Create, design, and write complex publication materials, employee communications, newsletters, bulletins, and informational materials for internal and external audiences. Interview subject matter experts and develop an original approach for each story line. Assist with establishing editorial and departmental standards. Support updates to and development and implementation of the organization's communications strategy to ensure consistent, relevant, accurate, tailored, and timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with communications

-Experience with performing a baseline assessment, designing a communications approach, developing products and vehicles, and implementing a communications plan, including evaluating and adjusting a communications plan

-Ability to create organizational and strategic communications among the organizational leaders, members, and stakeholders at unclassified and classified levels

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working on strategic communications in the intelligence community (IC)

-Experience in a specialized journalism or communications related field

-BA or BS degree in a Journalism, Communications, or related field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
