Defense Capture Manager

Key Role:

Identify, capture, and win new business for a DoD client through applying professional skills and expertise across the business development life cycle. Capture management responsibilities, including opportunity identification, qualification, shaping, client positioning, coordination of technical solutions, competitive assessment, teaming, coordination of capture milestone reviews with senior level management, and proposal oversight. Leverage senior-level relationships within the defense industry and federal government clients. Lead complex negotiations with defense industry partners to build teams in support of large complex procurements. Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients’ requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technical solution options, and building a cost-competitive industry team that can deliver client impact through a winning proposal. Drive market-based competitive intelligence, market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts in support of expanding specific client-based opportunity portfolios and pipeline. Manage key stakeholder relationships, keep the business leadership team informed, and engage in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners.

 Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with multi-discipline solutioning for DoD clients

-3+ years of experience in direct management of complex solutions and development of capture plans that resulted in winning large proposal efforts for DoD clients

-Experience with leading very large captures and developing complex technical solutions

-Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners

-Experience with successful execution of all phases of a large and multi-year capture efforts, including strategic planning, market assessment, competitive analysis, technical solutioning, price-to-win analysis, teaming, and proposals development

-Ability to show expertise in the business development life cycle and solution selling methodologies

-Ability to lead teams and stakeholders throughout the capture process

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 10 years of experience with capture
