SUAS Airborne Technician

Key Role:
Research, design, develop, and test various types of aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, or ships and submersibles. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the design, fabrication, operations, and maintenance of various Small UAS (SUAS) and COTS-based Vertical Take-Off Landing (VTOL) systems

  • Experience with designing specialized components supporting the integration of various payloads while not impacting flight worthiness or aerodynamics of various platforms

  • Ability to provide recommendations to the government for the purchase of specific materials supporting payload integration and provide technical recommendations on the design of various payloads

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing design custom part production

  • Ability to provide support during weekends to evaluate, prepare, and position necessary assets, equipment, and resources for upcoming operations, including test events and exercises

  • Ability to evaluate the current situational status of assets as they relate to the preparation and functional well-being necessary for use in upcoming events

  • FAA 107 License


Clearance:
