Key Role:
Serve as an emergency management subject matter expert supporting clients in the development, updating, and publishing of emergency management plans, polices, procedures, exercises and drills. Lead and support activities that enable organizations to achieve mission assurance by preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to and recovering from emergencies. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. This position requires travel regionally, nationally, and internationally, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with supporting emergency management programs for federal clients
-Knowledge of emergency management governance, policy, strategic planning, or strategic communications
-Ability to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally, as needed
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with emergency management
-Certified Emergency Manager
Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree and 4+ years of experience with emergency management
-Certified Federal Emergency Management, Certified Federal Emergency Management Agency Incident Command Systems Instructor, Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Certification, or Federal Emergency Management Agency Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP)
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
