Infrastructure Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Design, test, and deploy architectures that include VMWare ESXi infrastructure, windows domains, and Linux servers.  Develop design documentation and conduct technical information system security testing in support of the appropriate security risk management processes using security assessment and technical testing efforts to identify and patch vulnerabilities to the systems being developed. Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Windows and Linux server operating systems. Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of datacenter design best practices, rackmount equipment installation and maintenance, and cable management, network attached storage, and direct attached storage and storage protocols, including NFS and iSCSI.
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience installing and configuring windows domains

  • Experience setting up virtual infrastructure leveraging VMWare ESXI

  • Experience setting up and configuring Linux servers

  • Experience hardening Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMWare using Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • Experience with analyzing network traffic with tools, including Wireshark or TCPDump 

  • Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities

  • Ability to accurately depict network diagrams using Microsoft Visio

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in coordination with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the US government

  • Experience working in classified spaces to implement solutions

  • Experience implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices

  • Knowledge of CSfC Capability Packages (CPs)

  • Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently, as identified

  • Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients

  • VMWare Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, or related Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
