In an industry where “Cloud” is sometimes synonymous with “genie,” it’s important to have someone on your team who knows how to engineer Cloud-based and hybrid on-premise and Cloud-based solutions. That’s why we need you, an engineer who knows how hardware and software components fit together and integrate with Cloud-based resources, to help us modernize mission critical systems across a variety of our top clients.

As a cloud architect on our team, you’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with the client to understand a hybrid multi-cloud system. to ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current cloud capabilities. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in risk mitigation and consulting while developing critical systems for the VA. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud based solutions to help your customers meet their evolving needs.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms and services, design patterns with a deep knowledge of DevSecOps tools for millions of customers
• 3+ years of experience with overseeing a team
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD and DevOps pipeline automation tools, including Jenkins and Gitlab CI
• Experience with container technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift
• Experience with architecting enterprise data services, including data pipeline processing, curation, and ETL processes
• Experience with automation tools and writing Infrastructure-as-code to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting including Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
• Knowledge of Linux operating system
• Knowledge of Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
• Ability to design, build, implement, operate, and sustain cloud solutions
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Knowledge of Key Security Concepts and cyber tools
• Knowledge of Networking: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, and DNS
• Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging
• BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Field
• Ability to communicate technical content to non-technical decision makers
• AWS or Microsoft Azure Certifications
