DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a systems administrator with a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills to help us deliver the best solutions for clients.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll help streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You Have:

  • Experience with the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with automating infrastructure provisioning with tools
  • Experience with configuration management tools
  • Experience in working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience with hosting applications on commercial cloud providers
  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms and tools
  • Public Trust
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with automating infrastructure provisioning with tools including CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience in automating CI/CD pipelines with tools, including Jenkins or GitLab
  • Experience with hosting applications on commercial cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience in containerization and container orchestration platforms with tools, including Docker or Kubernetes 
  • Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
