Technical Writer

Key Role:

Develop and finalize programmatic deliverables for submission, including bi-weekly and programmatic deliverables reports, monthly program management reviews, performance qualifications, and ad-hoc communications for internal distribution and to the Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA). Prioritize and organize VA tasks of varying length and intensity and balance ad-hoc requests with routine responsibilities. Pull information, data, and metrics from diverse sources and communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with writing technical documents, technical reports, program reports, and reports to internal and external leadership

-2+ years of experience with supporting IT projects

-Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of general software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts

-Ability to implement multiple approaches to data gathering

-Ability to translate technical information into business impact and value

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting VA IT projects

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating and interacting with technical staff effectively

-Technical Writing Certifications
