Contractor Special Security Officer

Key Role:

Coordinate and monitor highly sensitive aspects or security activities of industrial security programs, including the DoD, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Conduct highly sensitive security briefings. Coordinate all security education programs. Act as primary liaison with program teams, management, and outside agencies. Manage program and administrative activities regarding security clearances for the organization's employees and advise management and personnel on related issues. Assist with ad hoc proposal security volume reviews. Coordinate security support for compartmented or special access programs, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with managing security requirements for sensitive security programs, including DoD

  • 5+ years of experience with SCI security

  • Experience with managing security for SCI programs

  • Experience with DoD security systems or databases, including DISS and NISS

  • Knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, and DoD industrial security requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications

  • Ability to present oneself as highly flexible and highly motivated

  • Ability to move from one task to another and be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises

  • Possession of excellent judgment, decision-making, teamwork, and customer service skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 100,000 to 110,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
