Homeland Defense Analyst

Key Role:

Plan and develop a strategic roadmap for a series of experiments to inform a cycle of non-traditional, rapid acquisitions, enabling future warfighter capabilities. Work with subject matter experts to plan and execute rapid experimentation and prototyping events in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Maintain an awareness of current and future DoD capabilities, policies, and procedures with regards to sensors and data production that include command, control, communications and computers (C4), machine learning and artificial intelligence, machine-to-machine communications (M2M), and effectors for defense against cruise missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles. Maintain relationships across the DoD, other government agencies, and industry to facilitate communication and reduce effort duplication. Participate in planning, synopsis, research, and analysis. Review and analyze documents, responses, briefs, talking papers, memoranda, and letters that shape client and industry discussions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in working with and within military staffs

  • Knowledge of issues related to Command & Control and homeland defense

  • Knowledge of Joint Publications, Joint Operations, Space Operations, and Joint Planning

  • Ability to utilize critical reasoning skills applied to defense issues

  • TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • BA or BS degree
