Programs Security Officer

Key Role:

Administer routine aspects of the DoD, DoE, or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures that are non-IT related. Work on typical security related issues may include physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation, and debriefings. Monitor security procedures and ensure compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical, and administrative security systems and procedures. Conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs, as needed. Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective action, as needed. Ensure the destruction of classified and confidential information in accordance with policies and procedures. Assist with the revision of procedures manuals and interface with outside agencies, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with broad general security

-Experience with Microsoft Office programs

-Knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security fields

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences and clients both verbally and in writing
-Experience with intelligence community (IC) or other Executive Branch departments' security requirements

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to support interaction with all levels of personnel

-BA or BS degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security Management, or Intelligence
 

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
