Satellite Communications Developer

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to step beyond software coding and become an integral member in building capabilities that rapidly meet emerging and urgent operational warfighter needs? As the developer in our organization, you'll deliver solutions end-to-end in a fast-paced, agile environment, not only in our development lab, but in forward operating locations. We’re looking for someone with the skills needed to build quick-reaction capabilities, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept from warfighter requirement to combat operational capability. Our ideal candidate would find the following words and acronyms resonate with them, including electrical engineer (EE), digital signal processing (DSP), software defined radio (SDR), C/C++, Java,  Python, Bash, Representational State Transfer (REST), Nvidia, CUDA, satellite communications (SATCOM), radio frequency (RF), wireless networks, science technology engineering mathematics (STEM), scripting, testing, documentation, diagrams, algorithms, and Agile. Do you find yourself at the front of your seat?

This role is more than just coding. We need a developer who will use their passion not only to use existing skills to deliver, but to learn new tools and techniques and identify and implement system enhancements and improvements. Using seasoned software development, satellite communication, and a host of other skills, you’ll integrate with the development team to build quick-reaction capabilities, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You will program prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and quick-reaction capabilities, write software solutions for various SATCOM systems, interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment, and provide engineering level documentation to enable testing and reporting. Join us as we build systems to change the combat environment for the better. This position requires travel.
