Security Engineer

Key Role:
Work with clients across a broad range of commercial markets, including financial services, healthcare, energy, consumer products, high-tech, pharmaceuticals, and automotive to implement and achieve their Cybersecurity objectives. Apply knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents, including focusing specifically on network protection. Advise on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events and data spillage, and incident response actions. Test, implement, deploy, and operate the infrastructure hardware and software required to manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services effectively. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. Represent the firm in a polished manner when engaging clients to build relationships and further enhance Booz Allen’s brand in the commercial marketplace. This position requires extensive travel to client sites up to 75% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with security technologies and design principles

-Experience with Splunk, SEIM, QRadar, or ArcSight Security Information Event Management Systems

-Experience with segmenting networks to reduce risk to the customer

-Experience with core enterprise infrastructure and security-supported technologies, including data protection elements, such as DLP, tokenization, or encryption, perimeter protection, such as firewalls or WAF, SIEMs, IPS/IDS, and managed security services

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including developing polished high-end PowerPoint presentations

-Ability to contribute to the identification and implementation of security solutions

-Ability to travel for at least 75% of the time

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with designing cloud security solutions including log requirements and monitoring

-Experience with working for consulting firms, including Deloitte, EY, PwC, or Accenture

-Experience with working through the diverse technical aspects of Cybersecurity

-CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, or equivalent security Certifications
