Southwest Asian Language Analyst

Key Role:

Provide foreign language-enabled intelligence analysis, including research and analysis of disparate unclassified and classified data sources, such as classified documents and open source materials in Farsi. Provide transcription, translation, and transliteration of data from the foreign language to English and from English to the foreign language in speech, writing, and typing. Translate technical and non-technical information using correct foreign language and English syntax. Research and write draft and finished operational intelligence products in accordance with client and community standards.

Basic Qualification:

-Experience with intelligence analysis

-Ability to score a minimum of 2/2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in Farsi

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with open-source and classified sources of information to provide intelligence analysis to discover, acquire, organize, translate, and analyze information on specific aspects of the foreign language's scientific and technical topics of interest

-Knowledge of human and machine translations of foreign language scientific and technical topics of interest

-Ability to document intelligence assessments adhering to intelligence community writing standards

-BA or BS degree preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
