Purchasing Specialist

Key Role:

Serve as the purchasing specialist for a newly established program management office. Conduct procurement and material planning to support ISR operations. Focus on procurement and material planning. Evaluate scope, time, and cost for purchasing functions through assertive negotiation of prices and schedules. Create control documents and repeatable processes. Assist with shipping or receiving and maintaining inventory, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with managing and purchase of materials and cost analysis for large programs, including processing other direct costs and handling third party vendors
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with procurement and material planning in the PACRIM AOR
  • Experience in working with federal government contracts
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, federal budget processes, and funds management
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, including using formulas and functions in calculations and analysis
  • Possession of excellent leadership skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
