Operations Support Staff Engineer

Key Role:

Support a US Army client with providing centralized management and direction to DoD for the assessment and disposal of recovered chemical weapon materiel and other chemical disposal missions, in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner. Work as part of a team responsible for supporting US Army client operations, provide general destruction operations support, including technical writing and reports, management of change (MOC), including hazard modelling, onsite operational data collection, such as including setup, use, and maintenance of data collection equipment, maintain video surveillance and communication systems, and use CAD to update drawings for applicable plans and documentation. Demonstrate expertise in one or more engineering disciplines, including mechanical and electrical engineering, apply knowledge of engineering methods, technologies, and standards, and leverage expertise to create solutions. Apply analytical and systemic thinking, conduct comprehensive data gathering and analysis efforts to identify problems and opportunities, and oversee the ISO 9001 program. Assist with the inspection and maintenance of government furnished equipment, ensuring readiness for planned deployments and local training. Maintain a cooperative work environment with other government contractors and personnel. This position will require travel for up to 25% of the time.


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of engineering experience with mechanical engineering

-2+ years of experience with systems integration

-Experience with technical drawing and CAD

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

-Ability to travel to operational locations

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in DoD, Army, munitions, or CBRNE programs

-Experience with process improvement initiatives

-Experience with ISO 9001 standard

-Experience with field operations and maintenance of video surveillance, and communications systems

-Ability to interface with senior level professionals, including government personnel

-Possession of excellent written communication skills

-BS degree in Engineering
