Acquisition Management Professional

The Opportunity: 
 

As an acquisition management professional, you’re eager to support both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle in your clients’ missions. We’re looking for someone like you to be a liaison to the government. Bring your passion to support pre- and post-award federal contracts and improve the processes that defend our nation. 
 
As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you’ll work with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on our country’s defense acquisition and contract process.  

On our team, you’ll draft full RFP packages, including identifying requirements, Statements of Objectives, Statements of Work. You’ll work on procurement request packages and be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You’ll grow your acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project’s success. From working with your team to building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you’ll work to deliver meaningful acquisition support. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a DoD Acquisition life-cycle planning, including acquisition pathway analysis, milestone documentation analysis, and acquisition documentation coordination

  • Experience with acquisition support to senior leaders in pursuit and achievement of key DoD acquisition milestones and acquisition decision events

  • Experience with leading, managing, and contributing to major defense programs

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition regulations and the adaptive acquisition framework

  • Ability to take a proactive approach in communicating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

 
Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with U.S. Space Force systems and organizations, including with Space Systems Command

  • Experience with Independent Program Reviews and Assessments

  • Experience with Microsoft Project

  • Knowledge of sharp business acumen

  • Master's degree

Clearance: 
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below. 

Colorado: $49,200 - $102,800 (annualized USD)
New York (including New York City): $52,300 - $125,600 (annualized USD)
