Cybersecurity Engineer, Lead

The Opportunity: 

As a lead cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of space and ground operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations expertise to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for a seasoned cyber mission specialist like you to apply your experience with network endpoint security tools, Risk Management Framework, cyber testing for ground and space systems, developing innovative cyber strategies, analyzing cyber threat signatures, and system integration.    

In this role, you’ll lead a team of professionals as they use cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to space and ground systems.    

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis expertise to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for our client. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control.

You Have:   

  • 10+ years of experience in a cybersecurity field performing cyber engineering, cyber risk assessments, or cyber authorization activities
  • Experience with executing cyber risk assessment and authorization processes for complex space programs and systems, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with analyzing cyber vulnerabilities, assessing system compliance against security controls, and developing risk mitigation plans and strategies
  • Experience with eMASS entry, navigation, and operation
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Nessus and ACAS Vulnerability scans, and ATO and IATT package requirements
  • Ability to analyze cybersecurity documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Ports Protocols and Services Matrices (PPSMs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and Program Protection Plans (PPPs)
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
  • CISSP Certification

  

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with analyzing network configurations and network architecture diagrams 
  • Experience in working major DoD space programs
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
