Space Systems Software Test Engineer, Mid

The software that enables this key capability must be functional and reliable, which means rigorous testing is essential. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to automate test cases and work with developers to make sure we deliver software that the world needs.

As a test engineer on our team, you’ll collaborate closely with test engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and client stakeholders to evaluate impactful software. You’ll help plan, write, and execute test cases based on user stories, then capture the results. In doing so, you highlight vulnerabilities so that our team can continue to strengthen the system for our operators.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with writing scripts

  • Experience with satellite ground control system operations

  • Experience with GPS and navigation technologies and systems

  • Ability to build test scenarios from technical designs and client requirements

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of software testing in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with using Microsoft Azure DevOps

  • Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, or software factory development pipeline methodologies

  • Experience with DoD acquisitions

  • Knowledge of Agile software development

  • Scrum Master or Agile certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
