Forescout Security Engineer

The Challenge:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the client to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the client needs.

You will join the security team of a major nationwide organization with thousands of sites to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide networks. You will leverage expertise in how hardware and software asset management of a large enterprise should work to support a team. Be a goal-oriented, customer focused, information security practitioner who can apply technical solutions to business requirements to assist the organization in achieving business, technical, and security goals.

You Have:

  • Experience with developing, refining, and planning for future iterations of an asset management program
  • Experience with developing and enforcing authorized network and device policies to increase security posture
  • Experience with analyzing data imports into Splunk for accuracy and completeness, including comparing data from the various network security tools to identify overlaps and search for gaps
  • Experience with conducting initial triage assessments of findings from network security tools
  • Experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders to get and share information to improve processes and security posture
  • Experience with troubleshooting application connectivity and performance through log analysis and network captures
  • Experience with Forescout CounterACT
  • Ability to map application components to identify security problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with project planning
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to review, produce, and make recommended edits to Splunk dashboards
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • One or more of the following certifications: Forescout FSCE,  Forescout FSCA,  Comptia Network+, CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), or CCNA

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
