Health Acquisition Analyst, Mid

Key Role: 
Provide acquisition and contract management support to a government client in a close team environment. Gather requirements and market research for potential acquisition strategies, including developing proposed solutions to achieve federal healthcare client objectives. Apply knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle to support project teams in the analysis and improvement of internal procedures. Develop acquisition initiation documentation, including requirement documents, such as PWS, SOW, SOO, and performance specifications, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), solicitations, including RFP, RFQ, evaluation criteria, and applicable memoranda that most effectively meet program needs in accordance with cost, schedule, and technical requirements. Collaborate with other functional areas to develop and execute long-term program acquisition strategies. Develop high quality deliverables and adjust quickly to ambiguous work and client consulting situations. Foster collaboration through soliciting and providing feedback to the team, demonstrating active listening skills and raising challenges and concerns appropriately. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience with conducting federal acquisition or contract management 

  • Experience with monitoring Federal projects 

  • Experience collaborating with others to produce both high-level and detailed requirements

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 

  • Knowledge of the healthcare and payer markets

  • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMS, VA, or DoD 

  • Knowledge of the basic functions of a health insurance and its impact on stakeholders

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • MA or MS degree
