Readiness Data Analyst

The Challenge:

Are you looking to empower decision makers by using your analytical skillset to bring awareness to real world challenges? Do you have experience with system delivery and readiness reporting? We are looking for a self-motivated individual to provide requirements analysis, business rule definition, metrics analysis, data analysis, and implementation and operations support to the Navy.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a systems delivery project that meets challenges in assisting the Navy in the identification, analysis and evaluation of policy, processes, systems and instrumentation related to resource management and readiness reporting. You’ll perform scientific and technical analysis, report changes, trends and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation in direct support of the man, train, and equip role for reporting units. You’ll be given the opportunity to facilitate large client working groups to identify critical requirements and conduct user training. Your responsibilities will aid in increasing the Commander's confidence in readiness results and to rapidly identify, adjudicate, and correct discrepancies. As trusted advisor to our clients and colleagues, your recommendations lead to better decisions, informing strategy across all aspects of the digital experience.

You Have:

  • 10 years of experience in software development and the life cycle process
  • Experience with stakeholders in the initial stages of defining software requirements and providing real-world knowledge of the subject
  • Knowledge of military readiness and supporting DoD and Navy readiness systems and data
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Access and relational databases
  • Ability to show a proven track record of weaving data and analysis into a compelling format that is client and solutions-driven and easily digestible resulting in client approval
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with facilitating working groups
  • Experience with developing and providing system training
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experience with Visual Basic for applications
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering
