Security Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Administer highly specialized facility or government classified security programs, ensuring safeguarding of classified information and compliance with regulations. Train employees in security regulations, liaise with government security agencies, arrange classified visits, and coordinate transmittal of classified information, including physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation, and debriefings. Develop and implement security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel. Participate in the development and conduct of security education programs.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with program security

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Knowledge of DoD security requirements

-Ability to work as part of a team that can respond rapidly to the needs of staff and clients
-Ability to comprehend and apply principles, concepts, and practices of the NISPOM
-Ability to support occasional extended workday or weekend hours

-TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences and clients orally and in writing

-Experience in the IC or other Executive Branch Departments security requirements
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to support interaction with all levels of personnel

-FSO, CPSO, or CSSO Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
