Indirect Effects Capability Developer

Key Role:

Develop current and future weapons, associated aiming and range determination capabilities, and Counter Defilade Target Engagement Capability optics and indirect effects weapon enablers and accessories. Support and follow the guidance in the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS). Support the development, writing, staffing, and adjudication of JCIDS documentation to include Capabilities Based Assessment (CBAs), Initial Capabilities Document (ICDs), Cost Benefit Analysis (C-BAs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Change Recommendations (DCRs), Capability Development Document (CDDs), and Capabilities Production Document (CPDs). Support the requirement process for the Army client's teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as active-duty military in the Infantry or Special Forces
  • 3+ years of experience with CAPDEV
  • Knowledge of current DoD weapons, ammunition, and enablers
  • Ability to prepare and deliver status briefings to senior leaders
  • Secret clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of current and evolving organizational structures, as well as an understanding of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documentation system
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and implement weapons and enabler capabilities-based programs
  • Ability to develop Initial Capability Documents (ICD), Capability Developments Documents (CDD), and annex updates for upgrades and incremental technology improvements, monitoring and maintaining funding during Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E) as well as procurement phases
  • Ability to coordinate, consolidate and review MCDID written document submissions for higher headquarters and outside agencies
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Capability Developer Level 1 Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
