The Challenge:
Do you love finding ways to make systems more efficient? Do you find it impossible to simply maintain when you could improve? Engineering to make a system more resilient and efficient frees up time and money to build more capabilities. Whether you come from a background in network engineering, systems administration, or software development – if you have a passion for making systems better, we need you!
As a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer on our team, you’ll operate, maintain and secure a Kubernetes based Cloud service within a Cloud-based, open-sourced, Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment to enable customer development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance for our Cloud products in support of deployed applications and systems. You will use your development expertise to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open source tools, automation, and Cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring operations and maintenance tasks and free up the team’s time to do what they do best – innovate. You will also leverage an automated continuous integration and delivery pipeline to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You will design and document systems, write code, and generate automation. You will be responsible for measured, methodical and diligent troubleshooting of complicated platform systems. You will assist with all backend and underlying system design and documentation as well as developing and maintaining logging and monitoring systems.
You’ll work with a team of Cloud and DevOps engineers to help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the Cloud. Your support and technical skills will be vital as you work across multiple IT organizations to ensure standards are met throughout the Cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest Cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current Cloud capabilities. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in Cloud computing, automation, SecDevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization, and you’ll help identify new opportunities to build Cloud-based solutions to help your customers meet their evolving needs. Join our team as we transform how our federal customer modernizes delivering goods and services across the federal government with Cloud technology.
