Defense Research Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a senior concept developer for an Army client. Conduct research and write Army client operating, functional, organizational, operational concepts, command directed whitepapers, and emerging doctrine products. Prepare staffing products and adjudicate staffing comments on documents. Review internal command documents and provide recommended edits to those documents during the development process from the clients’ perspective. Coordinate and execute meetings, working groups, and workshops and write an executive summary or report for the events. Maintain a calendar that informs actions, suspense’s, meetings, and general situational awareness and develop and maintain data libraries on SharePoint and web portals.

Basic Qualifications:

-12 years of experience in the Army

-Experience with the execution of special operations at the battalion level or above

-Knowledge of the roles, missions, and functions of Army 18, 37, and 38 series MOSes

-Ability to work independently or with teams

-Ability to conduct research and write and edit

-Ability to present data to senior military leaders

-Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite

-TS/SCI clearance

-MA or MS degree

-Graduate of Command and General Staff College or an equivalent institution

Additional Qualifications:

-3 years of experience as a CW4, O4, or above

-Graduate of School of Advanced Military Studies or War College preferred
