Mission Command Information Systems Trainer

Key Role:

Prepare and deliver Mission Command Information Systems (MCiS) training based on event training plans, including serving as lead platform instructor for assigned systems and as an assistant instructor for remaining systems. Support the conduct of military training exercises through the development of training methods and materials, including curriculum, lectures, over the shoulder coaching, and computer-based training aids based on consultation with the client and user specifications. Maintain technical and tactical proficiency with the software and training support package (TSP) products for multiple MCiS to support live, virtual, constructive, gaming - integrated architecture (LVCG-IA) training exercises. Assist with exercise site set up, configurations, system checks, system testing, and tear down after exercise completion. Serve as a system subject matter expert during training exercises, including providing technical expertise and system support operations. Analyze and validate training plans and programs of instruction, including documenting flaws in system configuration and implementing corrections.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with using the official system program and product manager's training products or using the commercial software and hardware developer's technical and training material in the absence of a designated program or product manager

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

-Ability to deliver operator-level training in a classroom environment in accordance with established Mission Training Complex Training Support plans

-Ability to support training exercises in a semi-austere environment, as necessary

-Ability to perform work at the DOL Medium Work standard

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with conducting training and training exercises for military service members

-Experience with using digital logistics systems during simulations and live exercises and delivering MCiS training based on event training plans

-Experience with a command post operations, simulations operations, digital master gunner, battle staff operations, observer controller trainer, and exercise project officer role

-Experience in working with or training on any of the following systems: Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A), Division eXercise Training and Review System (DXTRS), Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM), Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and system sub-components, Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE), Virtual Battlespace version 3 (VBS3), Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG), or Warfighters' Simulation (WARSIM)

-Experience with military service, including command post operations a plus

-Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-Completion of digital master gunner, battle staff operations, or military instructor training preferred
