Contractor Special Security Representative, Mid

We have an opportunity for a Contractor Special Security Representative to join our team as we maintain day to day responsibility for broad security support for designated projects and programs to support DoD intelligence community. You’ll serve as the local security representative under the direction of government security managers, ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and government regulations, and maintain security manuals and make revisions, as needed.. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you’ll have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools. This is a chance to directly impact the client while learning how to develop program strategy and eliminate risks across projects. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with security and working in DoD or intelligence community (IC) industrial security programs and government security regulatory manuals
  • Experience with applying tailored, responsive multi-disciplined security support, including personnel, physical, technical, operational, and information security aimed at the protection of personnel, information, facilities, programs, and capabilities
  • Experience with implementing, interpreting, and applying IC and DoD security policies, including NISPOM and ICDs and requirements for classified and sensitive compartmented information programs
  • Knowledge of personnel and physical security policies and regulations, including ICD 705 and ICD 704
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED required

  • Knowledge of contract and acquisition security practices
  • Ability to provide constructive, tactful, and discrete security advice and guidance to personnel across all levels, including senior managers, peers, subordinates, and customers
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, develop and articulate focused solutions, and take independent action in an often-ambiguous work environment
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to obtain Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
