Cybersecurity and Weapons Systems Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on DoD Systems? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications, makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.

As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll have the chance to design engineered, model-based systems in support of the design and development of secure systems for the DoD. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize engineering practices. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface, supporting our DoD clients in the analysis, engineering, planning, and strategy development related to threat, analysis, and architecture. You’ll lead a team and develop your skills in model-based systems engineering and digital engineering while gaining experience in solving client problems as we go through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives, and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of the DoD’s missions in Cybersecurity. Grow your skills by merging technology and systems engineering to create system models. Join our team and help to turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change.

Empower change with us.

  • Experience with performing in agile teams to support requirements development, modeling, design, development, and test of systems

  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, including MagicDraw or Enterprise Architect to develop and document UML or SysML system architectures

  • Knowledge of using scripting tools for computational modeling, including Python or MATLAB

  • Knowledge of designing, developing, implementing, or integrating IA and security systems and system components

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools and emerging technologies, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, 5G, or OT and SCADA

  • Experience with weapons systems security assessments

  • Experience with performing in agile teams to support requirements development, modeling, design, development, and test of systems

  • Knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)

  • Knowledge of DoD software test planning and execution practices, DoD modeling and simulation verification, validation, and accreditation practices

  • Ability to interact directly with clients to identify problems, analyze data, generate solutions, and communicate results

  • Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) or International Council on Systems Engineering Associate Systems Engineering Professional (INCOSE ASEP) Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
