Network and Operations Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Monitor network administration and maintenance operations; resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth-running of the network operation center. Apply specific functional knowledge; working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks and Cybersecurity

  • Ability to manage and report on multiple projects for stakeholder reporting

  • Ability to coordinate and schedule meetings with various clients, including international clients

  • Ability to work with vendors to generate support cases

  • Ability to coordinate and manage lab facility work requests

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple network protocols, including MPLS, BGP, ISIS, VRF, VLANs, GRE tunnels, port aggregation, Route Maps, ACLs, RADIUS, and Multicast

  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices, Firewalls, and HAIPE devices

  • Knowledge of existing DoD network services or network implementations

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices

  • Ability to collect, consolidate, and translate stakeholder requests into project requirements

  • Ability to identify, quantify, and communicate project risks and potential courses of action to internal and external stakeholders

Clearance:
