System Administrator and Lab Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Provide computer network operations capability development and engineering services, including system administration support to specialized network environments to support missions and gain strategic advantages. Perform system administration to develop and maintain a stand-alone government specialized network and environment comprised of network infrastructure, servers, including both physical and virtual, and workstations. Administer operating systems, including several flavors of Linux, Windows, VMware ESXi servers, Cisco switches, and Isilon storage array.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration
  • Experience with VMware ESXI servers
  • Experience with managing and troubleshooting issues for lab or standalone network consisting of a mix of hardware, software, storage and virtualization infrastructure
  • Experience with documenting and editing processes and procedures
  • Experience with implementing government information security standards, policies, and practices
  • Experience with consulting on alternate solutions and procurement of hardware and software
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • BA or BS degree in Technical Engineering and 10+ years of experience in a technical or SA role or 5 years of experience with System Administration in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ubuntu LTS
  • Experience with Citrix and VMWare virtualization platforms
  • Experience with installing and configuring virtual servers and thin clients
  • Experience with Cisco switch port configuration
  • IAT Level 1 Certification, including A+ and Net+ or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date
