Systems Administrator, Mid

The Challenge:

What if you could use your hardware and software skills to improve the technology supporting signal analysis tools? With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. We’re looking for a systems administrator with Linux expertise and experience in SVN and GIT and Docker to help us build, test, and distribute a suite of signals analysis tools.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll support the signals analysis tool suite software development environment and support tool development, testing, deployment, and version control. You’ll help customers overcome the challenges that come with tool creation and modernization. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including virtual, cloud, and web servers, in support of business processing requirements. You'll perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. You'll schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you guide your clients through migration planning and implementation. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like virtualization. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve signals analysis capabilities. This position is on-site in the Baltimore/Washington DC/Central Maryland region.
