Brain Health Research Project Coordinator

Key Role:

Provide scientific, project management, and technical communication expertise to clients within the military medical research and development space. Work in a tightly collaborative environment, apply technical proficiency to draft and manage production of reports and briefings to audiences of diverse backgrounds, support tasker responses related to blast injury and brain health research, provide scientific review of written works and ongoing research projects, and write research summaries for non-technical audiences. Be a point of contact for the database management effort. Organize and manage working groups of subject matter experts from government, academia, and industry, both domestic and international.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in scientific writing for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with working in a small team to support mission-critical deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office and analytical tools
  • Experience interfacing directly with U.S. government clients
  • Ability to review technical documents, including scientific works and official government documents, and synthesize into both short and long-form written deliverables
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with website maintenance and public messaging
  • Experience with neuroscience or brain health research
  • Experience with United States Army Medical Research and Development Command, other military research and development organizations, or the Defense Health Agency
  • Knowledge of the research life cycle, government agencies that focus on blast research, and scientific portfolio management
  • Knowledge of large web-based databases
  • Ability to collaborate with other government agencies
  • Doctorate degree in a science field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
