The Challenge:

As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to developing directed energy systems. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to move cutting edge technology from the lab to the field.

Our team is performing directed energy research and development. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer with hardware and software expertise to help us design and develop directed energy technology. You’ll design and test electrical system architectures, perform trade studies and analysis to predict performance and optimize designs, develop components that fires lasers, and take new technologies from the whiteboard to the test range. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in power systems, lasers, controls, and prototype development. You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with electrical engineering
• Experience with developing and troubleshooting electronics equipment
• Experience with developing detailed electrical schematics and diagrams
• Experience with working in interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to solve complex technical problems
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with rapid prototyping for hardware applications
• Experience with leading tasks or teams in electrical engineering initiatives
• Experience with developing printed circuit boards
• Experience with directed energy or directed energy-related applications
