Kubernetes and DevOps Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

Everyone is trying to “harness the power of the Cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a Cloud Platform and DevOps Engineer, you know how to build Cloud-based platform services and technical tools that meets customer needs and takes advantage of Cloud capabilities. What if you could use your Cloud architecture skills to increase IT modernization across all of federal government? We need you to lead our team as we develop Cloud-based solutions to some of the General Services Administration (GSA)’s toughest challenges.

As a Cloud platform and DevOps engineer on our team, you’ll design, deploy, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based, open-sourced, Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible. You will use your development experience to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open source tools, automation, and Cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You will also leverage an automated continuous integration and delivery pipeline to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You’ll help provide system integration support and develop software services via Docker containers in a Kubernetes environment. You’ll help research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with a team of Cloud and DevOps engineers to help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the Cloud. Your support and technical skills will be vital as you work across multiple IT organizations to ensure standards are met throughout the Cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest Cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current Cloud capabilities. You’ll sharpen your skills in Cloud computing, automation, SecDevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization and help to identify new opportunities to build Cloud-based solutions to help your customers meet their evolving needs. Join our team as we transform how the GSA modernizes how to deliver goods and services across all of the federal government with Cloud technology.
