Front End and GIS Visualization Developer

The Challenge:

We have an opportunity for a front end developer on our team of rapid prototypers and tool developers. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in working with web based charting or mapping tools, including highcharts, D3, Google Maps, ESRI JavaScript, or leaflet or learn interactive graphical UI development. Join a dynamic team and help us to build data/visualization focused analytic tools and prototypes. You will get to do interesting work across a wide range of technical scopes, including rapid prototyping for seed capability proof of concept, visualization and interaction ideation and development, assisting data scientists with developing exploratory analysis, building front ends for methodology development and testing, and participating in system conception, design, build, and deployment. You'll enjoy working with other hands-on technical professionals ready to help you bootstrap ideas, review approaches, and jump into code to lend a hand with features and bug fixes. Team members are also poised to geek out about hardware, software, UX, and sci-fi books, TV, and movies during coffee breaks or when the day is done. This is an opportunity to meet challenges DoD counter-WMD analysts and planners face by collaborating with a development team to build interactive analytic tools with a user-centric design. You’ll work with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create a seamless user experience using modern web frameworks. You’ll work with the development team to ensure accessibility for all users by developing a front end that functions across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements. You Have:

-1+ years of experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript in a professional work environment

-Experience with GIS/visualization, including libraries such as highcharts/D3/Google Maps/ESRI JS/Leaflet

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree
 

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with nodern Web frameworks, including React/Angular/Vue/SPAs

-Experience with UI/UX

-Experience with modern build tools, including Grunt/Gulp and dependency management

-Experience with working in the DoD or intelligence community

-Knowledge of the agile software development mindset and tools, including Jira, Git, and Jenkins

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
