Labor Accountant

Key Role:

Support labor accounting financial processes, including collecting and processing time reports and labor adjustments, and reporting requests on regular and ad hoc basis. Support semimonthly and year end posting of labor and leave accrual transactions as well as processing weekly labor adjustment uploads. Facilitate consistent and timely resolution of employee issues, concerns, and questions by responding to internal customers. Input time adjustments and assist with clearing suspense hours for Booz Allen Hamilton staff. Partner with payroll, HR, and compliance staff to ensure compliance with the firm's policies, leave and pay practices, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Support system upgrades and enhancement initiatives. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with finance and accounting operations and human resources principles and practices

  • Experience in a mainframe-based accounting environment

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Excel

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a demanding fast-paced environment

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in a corporate accounting and SOX environment, supporting labor accounting transactions

  • Experience with government contract accounting

  • Knowledge of Deltek Time and Expenses and Costpoint accounting system

  • Possession of excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

The salary for this position will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 50,000 to 57,000.
