Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Support enterprise wide applications with an emphasis on system uptime and health management along with working operational support, maintenance, and automation activities to ensure long term viability of applications. Research and resolve system application problems, collaborate within broader Information Services teams to support changes and install and deploy applications, and document operational activities. Contribute to process enhancements, including the automation of routine tasks and troubleshooting and upgrade activities and participate in issue escalation and on-call rotation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with supporting product development web applications on J2EE platforms, including Websphere, Weblogic, IIS, JBOSS, or Glassfish
  • 2+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/UNIX environments
  • 2+ years of experience with supporting RDBMS via Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle DBs
  • Experience with deploying code to production environments and leading the troubleshooting of complex issues to successful resolution
  • Knowledge of using CI/CD and DevOps tools that include MS Azure DevOps services, Ansible, Docker, and Git
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure resources, including Web apps and services, Key Vault resources, Logic Apps, or Azure Automation
  • Knowledge of Office 365 applications, including OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Knowledge of scripting, including PowerShell and YAML
  • Ability to document and apply technical writing standards to a heterogenous computing environment
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows Server administration emphasizing Internet Information Services (IIS) web application management and application support
  • Knowledge of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) 800-171, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), or Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise-wide applications, including demonstrating solid fundamental computing concepts
  • Ability to provide a high level of client service while working in a collaborative work setting
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
  • BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Security+ Certification
