The Challenge:
Are you passionate about helping organizations understand and reach their goals? Do you live for that “ah-ha!” moment when your client realizes you just showed them how to transform their organization? Many organizations know where they want to go but getting there can be a challenge. We’re looking for you: a DataOps engineer who can identify an organization’s long-term goals and show it how to achieve them.
This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on large military data-driven organizations. As a DataOps engineer on our team, you’ll engage with clients to help them understand their organization and crystallize their goals. You’ll design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform them into insights, analysis, and reporting. You’ll apply expertise in database design and implementation tools, including entity-relationship data modelling and SQL, distributed computing architectures, operating systems, storage technologies, memory management and networking to creating structure and value out of complex and ambiguous technical challenges with little guidance. Leveraging expertise in structured and unstructured data, streaming and batch data processing, Extract Transform Load (ETL), data wrangling, data ingest, and data access.
In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a DataOps engineer, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You’ll mentor teammates, lead staff in analyzing databases, writing scripts, applying machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help a variety of users make informed decisions. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to use data solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges.
Empower change with us.
You Have:
-5+ years of experience with data architecture, engineering, or Extract Transform Load (ETL)
-5+ years of experience with developing solutions to automate data integration and data management processes, including Extract Transform Load (ETL), Extract Load Transform (ELT), and data cleansing and enrichment
-Experience with business strategy, strategic planning, consulting, organizational design or as a data management and data governance expert for U.S government or commercial organizations
-Experience with implementing best practices surrounding data and metadata management, ETL, and data cleaning of structured and unstructured data
-Experience with open-source data ingestion tools and technologies, including Nifi, Spark, Storm or Hadoop
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
-Experience with utilizing statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and control the data analytics pipeline
-Experience with presenting to senior executives and communicating complex issues to a broad audience for gaining approvals or buy-in
-Experience with analytical technologies used in enterprise reporting, including Tableau, Qlik, Looker, OBIEE, or equivalent
-Experience with data stewardship operating models, foundational data governance constructs, and master data management, including Oracle, Informatica, and SAP MDM
-Experience with leading teams of 5-10+ staff members, including providing technical task and administrative leadership
-Experience in data governance and data management practice, including Federal and industry standard models, including DAMA DMBOK, TOGAF, DODAF, and FEA DRM
-Knowledge of basic concepts in CS and data science, including machine learning and artificial intelligence
-TS/SCI clearance
