Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:

Leverage domain expertise to create cyber security solutions aligned to the client's mission. Apply expertise in functional work and the client's industry. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, as needed. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with the selection of Cybersecurity controls applied to federal systems
  • Experience with the implementation of Cybersecurity controls in IT, OT, or mission systems
  • Knowledge of network protocols and standard analytic tools
  • Knowledge of Cyber attack frameworks
  • Ability to translate Cyber threats into mission impacts
  • Ability to help with the design, selection, and implementation of Cybersecurity mitigations
  • Ability to perform network mapping to inform Cyber threat analysis
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NASA Cybersecurity processes
  • Knowledge of NASA systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge of NASA mission systems
  • Knowledge of network protocols used to support satellite ground segments
  • Knowledge of communication protocols used in satellite communications

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
