Cloud Database Administrator, Senior

The Challenge:

We have the technology, but do we know how to use it? In an industry where “Cloud” is sometimes synonymous with “genie,” it’s important to have someone on your team who knows how to engineer Cloud based and hybrid on-premise and Cloud based solutions. That’s why we need you, an engineer who knows how hardware and software components fit together and integrate with Cloud based resources, to help us modernize Platform as a Service (PaaS) Cloud infrastructure for our clients.

As a Cloud database administrator on our team, you have the chance to operate and maintain Cloud systems to support the client. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) Cloud instance built using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to support a Combatant Command. You’ll develop your skills in system administration while gaining experience with information systems planning and execution. Grow your skills by merging virtualization and containerization and system configuration to create Cloud and operating system enhancements. You’ll maintain responsibility for activities related to system administration of an AWS Cloud and ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning and execution of the project. You’ll maintain responsibility for the setup and tear down of virtual machines, installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. You’ll implement Cloud and operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Join our team and help turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change.
